Disney’s Epcot & more!!

Good morning/afternoon/evening everyone! I apologize for not blogging often – but I realized that today’s ALMOST the 1 (<– that one is adorable) year anniversary of this site.  What a better way to enter the summer than a blog on my experiences at Disney World?

I traveled (by car) 3-4 states over all the way to Orlando in late March for spring break!  I completely forgot the order but here are the places we visited:

  • Epcot
  • Disney’s Hollywood Studios (formerly MGM)
  • Animal Kingdom (will be posting some pictures)
  • Magic Kingdom
  • Universal Studios
  • Islands of Adventure!

Boom. 6 theme parks in 7 days!!

Unfortunately, most of the pictures have my family in them, so I won’t be posting many.

****

First, I’ll tell you about the beautiful EPCOT! This was the first park I went to, so I remember it pretty clearly.

Epcot was one of my personal favorites because it wasn’t completely overwhelming like, say, Magic Kingdom.  You could stroll & walk through all the different countries of the world while trying the cuisines & watching cultural shows! It was incredibly amazing seeing all the different countries – France & Italy were all cobblestone, Japan had a beautiful rock garden and China a garden and … MULAN!

Mulan was the first face character I met.  She was super friendly & even had that little strand of hair on her forehead like in the movie.  She was actually one of the better face characters & always was in Mulan’s personality – she said things like, “You’ve traveled a long way to here in China.” “Oh, you’re very strong girls, aren’t you?” It was so cute! I’ll tell you – meeting your childhood Disney idol is way better than meeting a celebrity!

We missed Snow White in Germany, but we met Aladdin & Jasmine in Morocco. We came in right as they were about to leave. Aladdin was an amazing face character. I’d always been such a huge fan of Aladdin, & it was wonderful seeing them in real life.

Jasmine was kind of sour looking though, but Aladdin really lit everything up. I’m serious. He looked so gorgeous I wanted to curl up into a ball & hide – I could barely speak to him! Gdamtewtwvah!!

CONVERSATION BTWN ALADDIN, JASMINE, SISTER & I:

Aladdin: Hello, how are you guys?

Sis: We’re fine!

Aladdin: So are you two sisters?

Both: Yes!

Aladdin: Which is the older?

Sis: I am.

Me: She is.

Aladdin: Oh, but the younger’s taller, isn’t she?

-laughing-

Aladdin to me: Do you play volleyball?

Me: Yes, actually I do!

Aladdin: What position do you play?

Me: I-I don’t really have a position, we alternate.

Aladdin: Are you a libero?

Me: Uh .. What? Um, I don’t know what that is..? –Freaking out in mind-

Aladdin: Oh, how long have you been playing?

Me: 3 years.

Aladdin: 3 years & you don’t know what a libero is?

And then we take a picture, in which Aladdin extends & says, “Would you do me the honor of taking my arm?”  By then I’m like, yes! yes, Aladdin! Yes! Take me on the magic carpet, let’s sing together & spin around!!!!!

After the picture, Aladdin says that he’ll have to come & play volleyball with my school sometime. By then I was in la la land & was on the verge of passing out.

After that dream, we met Belle & Beast in France! Beast was so awesome (he was wearing a suit) & instead of shaking his hand I hugged him. Belle was really friendly too :D I also met Aurora (Sleeping Beauty) in France. France was one of my favorite sections because of the food, which consisted of brilliant pastries & waiters serving you in dashing French accents.

The UK section was really cute – I met Mary Poppins! SHE WAS SO PROPER! Of course, she was in a poofy dress, white gloves & an umbrella. She was great, and she said things like, “Your hat is most splendid. I have an array of hats with doo-dads on them at home.” And “Fold your hands like this, it’s the proper way.” And she also said the famous Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious backwards.

Surprisingly, we also met Tigger & Pooh in the UK!

Epcot had a couple of attractions – we went on a boat ride in Norway, saw an acrobatic show in China, & viewed many exhibitions all over!

It was spectacular! Although it rained pretty much the whole time we were there, it was so much fun meeting the characters. (Unfortunately, I forgot my Cinderella autograph book from 1999 at the hotel)

I would kill to go back there again :)

——-

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed reading about Epcot today! Maybe this will excite some of those who haven’t been there or make someone else want to revisit.

I think I’ll have to write about the other parks later (next will be Hollywood Studios) because I don’t want to extend this post too long :)  (OR comment & tell me which park you’re most anxious to hear about)

Hope you enjoyed, & if you’ve been to Epcot or any of the other parks mentioned, be sure to let me know, I’d love to hear about your experiences!!

PS: Figured out what a libero meant: The libero remains in the game at all times and is the only player not limited by rules of rotation. He usually replaces the middle blocker position when they rotate to the back row and never rotates to the front row himself.  The libero is responsible for a great deal of the passing in serve receive. Often the libero will be responsible for a much greater part of the court than his teammates. WHOO! Aladdin must have thought I was pretty darn good!!

I LOVE YOU ALADDIN!!!   Aladdin is completely awesome.

Why I want to live in Neverland..

Hi everyone! First off, happy new year :) I’ve just composed a super long, serious rant, but I thought I’d just start off the new year with a still long, but not as serious lecture. (sigh…) Anyways, the title of this post is “Why I want to live in Neverland” and this is just the beginning of me complaining about how ridiculous people are these days.  Hope you’re in the mood.

I think our perception of happiness in this world is twisted. Really. Read these situations, and if you’re not nodding your head in agreement about how   wrong these things are, then I don’t know what will..

I read this ridiculous article about a women giving her little 7 year old daughter a certificate she can use when she’s 16 – one that entitles her to  -ahem – enhancement of certain body parts.. and liposuction. (well, this is awkward.) The girl says, “I can’t wait to look pretty like mommy!” You should really read this article. The mom also teaches that little girl how to .. let’s just say exotic dance. Just type in “Human Barbie” in a search bar, and that’s the 1st thing that pops up.

I also hate how girls my age are piling on makeup, just caking it on their face until they look like a witch. I understand a bit of makeup (though I don’t wear it) but covering up every single imperfection is a bit much. And if those girls are just worried about what other people will think of them, then there’s really something wrong with the world.  Don’t get me wrong – I’m not a hater. I’ve felt the same way many times in my life, and stolen things from my mom and older sister because – yes, I thought beauty in a bottle would actually make me look better. Um, heck no. I then realized we can’t look perfect all the time, and to just get over it.

I think that sometimes people are really afraid to just be themselves. They’d be scrutinized. I went to the mall the other day, and practically every teenage girl looked the same. Long silky straightened hair. A sweatshirt from whatever sport they like, or team they like, those stupid Nike shorts with built in underwear, and UGG boots. (Boots and shorts doesn’t even make sense. It’s either one or the other. It’s winter, not summer.) If someone was the first person to wear stuff like that, then kudos to them. But if they’re just doing it because everyone else is, then that girl is crazy in the head. Girls today look like clones. I thought I kept seeing the same girls over and over again, but it they all just looked alike. It’s scary. I rarely see people now that act the way they want to, even with my classmates. I’ve known some of mine for 10 years now, and they all used to be their own person. Now it’s all about hair flipping, being sarcastic to impress everyone, and talking behind people’s backs. That stuff is not cool at all. That’s why when I see someone that’s their own person, I befriend them.

So some advice – don’t be sucked into reality. Create your own reality and live it like there’s no tomorrow. You are who you meet, and I honestly don’t want to be sucked into a mass of barbie dolls.

Now I’m really getting to the point of this whole article – (sorry!) don’t try to grow up too fast. That’s my goal in life, to cherish everything, to enjoy being a kid. Because I already know it’s going to get much harder later, and who wants to add extra drama to their life and speed up the inevitable?

I have my whole life ahead of me – plenty of time to settle down, and wear expensive clothes, and walk in four inch long heels – but for right now, I just want to be a kid. One who’s aware that ignorance is bliss, one who isn’t embarrassed  by watching movies suited to younger kids, and one who isn’t afraid to run through the mall, arm in arm with their best friend, singing songs from the Wizard of Oz. One who wants their mind to stay in a place like Neverland for as long as possible.

Favorite Sites & Other Fluff!

Hi everyone!

It seems every time I commit to something it always ends up falling flat on its face. For example, I was going to do a summer writing challenge & write a short story everyday until school started. Guess how many short stories I made this summer? FOUR. Only! I wasn’t productive this summer at all – I only wrote 4 short stories &  rewrote bits of Film. I didn’t even write any poems :( I tried journaling, which lasted longer. I wanted to journal everyday but slowly, (like always) I lost that commitment. I stayed strong for about a week then I slacked off again. I’m disappointed that I didn’t reach my goal. :( So now that summer’s over, I’m doing a new challenge, & hopefully I’ll make it! It’s called the 30-day drawing challenge!

It’ll be a bit hard because I’m really not the best drawer :( I’ll post my pictures on here :) I already drew a picture of myself but I just need to upload it on to the computer. I’ll post it next time I blog. I’m also doing another thing called OneWord, but I’ll talk about that later :) Here is a list of my favorite websites! Try some out! :)

1)  STUMBLEUPON.COM

My goodness StumbleUpon is just about the best website known to man!!! If you’ve never heard of it, SU collects the best of everything on the web – stories, jokes, other funny things, great videos, songs, infographics, games – & presents them to you! All you have to do is sign up for it & you’ll have the best of the web at you fingertips. You can save you favorite sites & look at them later. I really really recommend SU. It’s really entertaining & I literally have stumbled for hours (it’s a great time waster ^_^ ) If you want to add/follow me, my user is kezisicecream :)

2) SKETCHSWAP.COM

Long story short – draw a picture (it helps if you have a tablet ^_^ ) & get a random picture in return! b/c the pictures are approved by the owners of the site first, they’re usually really good! I find it interesting to see other people’s drawings!! :)

3) SECRETSSAFE.COM

Same concept as above! Enter a secret & have someone else’s secret be delivered to you! There is no way for the other person to track you, so it’s safe as long as you don’t put your address or something O_o also really fun! But be warned: sometimes the secrets are inappropriate..

4) OMGPOP.COM

I don’t really go on much anymore, but they have really great games! They’re very fun. My user is… KawaiiKezi21?? I think .. ^_^ But anyways, this site is great. My fav games are Balloono & Draw My Thing! Check it out!! :)

5) SKYPE.COM

Not really so much as a website, but more like a program. It’s free to download, & you can talk to your friends who also have a Skype account! You can even video chat for free if you have a webcam. It’s easy to use, I go on all the time! The ideal way to keep in contact with your friends.

6) ONEWORD.COM

Oneword is really cool! I just found out about it today! (on SU, another reason you should get a SU account) This site is best if you love writing. OW iss where they give you one word each day & you have 60 seconds to write about it. Don’t think, don’t ponder about it – just write. I think this is the best kind of writing – when you write what comes naturally to you. It’s really fun, & I’ll be posting my ONEWORD of the day here! Try it out :) My user is kezi21.

Not much of a selection, is there? I’m sorry :( I usually don’t do much while on the computer, just watch videos, blog, read ASW stuff obsessively, stumble or read articles >__< Arg I know I do more than those, but they’re trapped in the back of my mind right now!! Maybe I’ll post another blog about this topic later ^_^

NEW THINGS: I’ll be posting my OneWord at  the end of each blog post (read #4 for more info!) & I’ll also be posting the song of the day! Sorry if my taste of music isn’t the same as yours, but it’s always good to try new things!! Hope this post was helpful to you! Bye bye.. just so you know, I probably won’t be on till next Saturday? So see you!

OneWord of the day: POISON

Nothing is so deadly. She clutched her heart, an icy, not hot, to her surprise, feeling crept up her veins, chilling her, freezing her, engulfing her in an uneasy sadness that could only mean one thing – she had been infected.

It’s so short b/c we only have a minute to write about it & I was typing on my mom’s iPad, not a real keyboard :)

SONG OF THE DAY:

Boom Boom Boom Boom by Vengaboys!! This.song.is.so.catchy!!!! And awesome! I love the beat, and the tune. It gets stuck in my head often :) I wish I could’ve posted the actual music video, but it’s very inappropriate.. b/c if you listen to this song closely.. um.. it’s not exactly kid-friendly o_O .. but of course I only like the tune & stuff, not the lyrics. See ya ♥
